Note: today's prompt was to write a tanka about love. Tanka is a traditional Japanese form, similar in some ways to haiku. Tanka are always 5 lines.

I like the last two lines of your tanka. We so often talk about pets for companionship or for service, but rarely do we talk about how much they can teach us. Thanks for the reminder.
